Dracunculus

vulgaris

An original tuberose perennial. It forms a maroon spadix of 50cm surrounded by a dark purple spathe. The flower, when fully developed, produces a rotting flesh-like odour, which attract insects. Don’t worry, the odour isn’t very strong.
