Verver Export’s spring festivals are always well-attended, have a great atmosphere, and are vibrant with colour. Planning a spring event is always challenging, as it depends on when the blooming products are at their best. Is it an early spring? Or a late one? Planting was delayed everywhere due to the wet conditions, but how much will that affect the city flower beds?

Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany

The spring tour began on Tuesday, 16th April in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. The city chose 2024 to give its public greenery a new boost, following the Gartenschau events that took place 10 and 5 years ago, respectively. A beautiful blooming route was available for both residents and tourists. Our professional visitors saw several mixtures in the park and many individual species along the route. A city guide also provided an interesting insight into the history of Schwäbisch Gmünd. The mayor inaugurated a new mixture to be planted with the machine, named ‘Gmünder Einhorn’. Thanks to the city’s green team, who, together with Andy Bauch, made spring come alive in southern Germany.

Pritzwalk, Germany

A week later, the excitement continued. The bustle began in Pritzwalk, Germany, where we showcased our mechanically planted flower bulb mixtures and perennial plant concepts at an event. And with success! With a good number of participants and a pleasant atmosphere, the second event in Germany was a success.

Bučovice, Czech Republic

On the same day, a spring festival was also held in Bučovice, a city in South Moravia, Czech Republic. Unfortunately, many flowers had already bloomed due to a temperature rise in early April. But that didn’t dampen the spirits. Over 60 participants and 4 partners registered for the event, and it was bustling with activity. The morning featured a tour of the flower beds, and in the afternoon, several seminars were held. In between, the mixture ‘Bučovice Jewels’ was inaugurated—a red and yellow mix with tulips and daffodils. All in all, it was a successful day!

Kúpele Sliač, Slovakia

From the Czech Republic, we traveled further to central Slovakia, where we were hosted at the spa resort Kúpele Sliač. There, tulips, daffodils, and many more bulbs greeted us in full bloom. On Thursday, 25th April, 50 other people also traveled to the spa resort, making it a wonderful event. A special mixture was created for the event. With a mix of red tulips, white daffodils, and white crocuses, ‘Therma Sliač’ was born.

Ängelholm, Sweden

The last spring festival of 2024 took place on Tuesday, 7th May in Ängelholm, Sweden. With more than 200 participants, beautiful weather, and splendid blooming beds, it was a huge success. Around noon, a new mixture was inaugurated, ‘Ängelholms Glädje’, which will be featured in the catalog from next autumn season. The mixture perfectly matches the city: “A fragrant mix of purple tones with yellow and white accents. The hyacinth blooms first, followed by three different tulips. The Ängelholm mix reflects the vibrant city of Ängelholm. Curiosity and creativity. The mix of purple tones evokes feelings of warmth, love, and care.”
